e-Alps can provide rental of an e-bike that is adapted to the proposed trips. During the trip, the e-bike is under the sole responsibility of the participant, and any eventual damages that go beyond normal wear and tear is at the charge of the participant.
We advise you to take out a liability insurance policy when renting the e-bike, to avoid any potential problems concerning the equipment.
How many people will I be riding with?
To be able to create a trip of the highest quality, we try to keep our groups small. Generally a group will be composed of 4 to 10 people, and the number of accompanying guides depends on the size of the group and their experience.
Do you want to create a private group with family or friends? We can make sure your group is privatised for an additional fee.
What’s included in the price?
Our trips are all-inclusive, but go even beyond that :-)
From the moment you join us to the day you leave, everything is included as part of the experience: cable car trips, shuttles, picnics, snacks, accomodation, half-board, e-bike rental, bag transport, mechanical support and the guides’ services. Basically, everything you need to make your experience an unforgettable one!
The only things that aren’t included are spare parts, drinks, or restaurants if the group decides to change the schedule.
Is it ok for me to come alone?
Of course, we’ve had a lot of guests come by themselves.
After the first picnic together, you’ll already have become part of the team. We’ve found great friendships to form during our trips, the shared physical challenge is a great conversation starter. In the evening, you’ll be sharing a room with one of your new friends. However, it is always possible to request a single room if you prefer the privacy, for an additional fee.
How do we get back to the starting point?
e-Alps will take care of bringing you back to the starting point of the adventure. However, if you want to continue your holiday at the arrival point, let us know, we’d be happy to give you suggestions on hotels and activities in the region.
How old do you need to be to take part in one of our trips?
Our experiences are open to everyone from 14 to 75 years old. The current record is 72! It’s not how old you are but how old you feel :-).
Age is just a number, as long as your physical fitness and level of technical ability allows you to take part in the trips and enjoy them, we’re happy to have you along for the ride.
However, please note that Swiss laws state that e-bike riders must be at least 14 years of age.
Be well insured
To avoid any potential problems if you have to cancel your trip (accident, illness, etc.), we strongly suggest that you contract a cancellation insurance. We also advise you to be sure that any accident and repatriation insurance you have is valid in Europe. Don’t hesitate to contact us if you need any recommendations.
Before the trip
Bringing the right equipment
We’ve prepared a Kit list for you with all the equipment we recommend you bring. Please remember that our adventures take place in the mountains where the weather can be unpredictable. It’s important to have enough warm clothes, as well as some waterproof layers, so that you’ll be happy and warm whatever the weather!

We recommend the following international airports to reach the starting point of your trip. From these airports, it is easy to take public transport or a taxi to get to where you need to be.
Geneva International Airport
-Glacier Haute-Route, 3 Country Haute-Route, Chamonix - Zermatt Haute-Route, Verbier - Zermatt Haute-Route, Family & Friends Haute-Route
Zürich International Airport
-Graubünden Haute-Route, Alpine Circle Ruta (Ost & Vest)
During the trip
What kind of accomodation will we be staying in?
Depending on the trip you choose, we’ll be staying in a selection of typical alpine accommodation. From mountain huts, to inns, to historical hotels or even spa hotels, we can guarantee comfort every night. You’ll normally be staying in a double room with one of your travelling companions, however it is possible to book a single room for an additional fee.
When staying in typical mountain huts, we’ll sometimes all be sharing a dormitory. Perhaps it’s less comfy, but it’s definitely cosy and convivial!
What if some sections are above my technical ability?
Our guides will be happy to give you advice on your riding style, so that during the trip you’ll become more confident. It will only make you enjoy yourself even more.
If you think that a certain section is too difficult, don’t be worried about taking it at your own pace.
If you feel unwell at any point during the day or no longer wish to ride, our follow up vehicle will happily take you to the evening’s accomodation to rest and recuperate.
What if it starts raining?
It’s all part of the adventure! All you need is an anorak and some good shoes, and we’re good to keep going, taking the most suitable itinerary according to the conditions. That beer’s going to taste so much better if you’ve weathered the elements to earn it :-)
We could decide to shorten or modify the route, but only if the originally planned one becomes too risky due to the conditions.
What if I’m too tired?
We’ll be here to help bring your spirits up, why not try gritting your teeth and doing a few more pedal strokes? :-) Otherwise, you can always change to easy mode on your e-bike. Having two batteries per day means you can ride the whole way at a level you’re comfortable with.
If all else fails, our logistics team can also arrange to meet you, take care of you and take you to the next accomodation.
What happens if I have a mechanical problem?
Our guides are experts in the field and in most situations, they’ll be able to help you directly. Otherwise, our logistics team is always on hand to assist, whether it’s to repair the bike, or to give you another one in the meantime. The repair fees are at the charge of e-Alps, you’ll just have to pay for spare parts or the rental of a spare e-bike.
